Mar. 26. 2010.

Hi Again. This is my 10th blog.

I would say that not everything that are made up to the ColecoVision are suitable for the cartridge format.
To spend money on PBC's, Labels, Manuals, Boxes and Carts for small games, which is certainly not worthy ColecoVision.
ColecoVision is marketed as "The Arcade Quality Video Game System" and should be so.
And it seems to me that, "everything" what has been the arcade hall worthy up to the 1990, is worth "looking at" in terms of the Convention to the game.

I think small games under 20 preordered, should be for download for Emulators or the AtariMax 128:1 cart or even a the upcoming CV2.
CV2 will possible be with an SD Card reader.
And many of the old games says "Plays like the real Arcade-game" is, if a game have a real play and looks like the real game, it can have a place for a Cartridge format.
Just like a band who want a contract for a CD release, if the music isn't good, no CD contract.
It's pretty expensive to buy all parts for a finished cartridge, work better with a game that you can polish to the extreme, and use the money more wisely.
Than on a poor game you have finished to quicky for a release, that would be a shame.

Eduardo are very close to release a new version of the former Super Game Module just in 2010 format.
A result of a vote between an simple upgrade module with up to 32k RAM, against a whole new and complete stand alone CV2.

Eduardo will split it up with a simple unit to start with, and after a couple years later a brand new CV2, i can already see it.
Eduardo will unite programmers and others, who have a special knowledge of the ColecoVision.
Notably they must each make suggestions about what the new BIOS may contain.
Each will evaluate the project and everyone can make new games after this.

It means completely new and different games than what we are accustomed to, including New and better colors and new sounds in Stereo.
You will also be able to chose new graphic modes, and higher resolutions.
(Maybe not for the new Super Game Module).

You do not need to compromise with either the quality, colors, and for that matter, flickering.

You will also get a better quality video output, this does not for the Super Game Module.

I also looking forward to the "new" VDPs V9958, V9990 from Yamaha, the hardware scroll and the Sound from AY-3-8910, and YM 2151 can represent.
Also is intended to be included a digital voice chip in the module, this applies only to the new CV2.

Luc could take contact to Moldex and there could be designed a new plastic minibox.
But Luc will perhaps not, because, he are started up for himself with a new name, namely: Team Pixelboy.

As all probably know, our "normal" televisions will soon fade out, and we will all sooner or later all have new Flat screens.
And because each new TV is more or less digital, it is natural that we all look this way.
In Denmark we do have Digital Tv broadcasts and many programs in High definition.
But Eduardo are close, he will build in a VGA Connector for the new CV2.

A game i would like to see for the new CV2 is a close arcade version of Out Run, it has a fantastic soundtrack.
Also Wizard of wor and even Qix.

I also got 2 new games from CollectorVision, the first one is: Penguin Land.
A game where you are a Penguin that take care of an egg, it is a very difficult game and so far I have only completed one level.

The second game was a very close to arcade game namely: Mario Brothers, here do you have to beat all the turtles, crabs and fighter flies.
The game starts up easy, but gets harder and harder, my high score are close to the 100.000 points.

Daniel has also launched a game for ColecoVision, namely Ghostblasters.
It is entirely his own creation.
The game is out in a cartridge format, a Milky transparent one, with a transparent label.
Daniel do also desinged a program that can handle new levels for the program.
You can then sit home and design levels for Ghostblaster.
Some of those levels are included in the final version and relased.
Daniel will also release a version especially for PAL users, the game will have correct speed and sound compared to the NTSC version.
Smart Daniel.

Daniel's site are also down, he got a new one, but there was only a game he call Dominicus Connect4 Magique, so i've played it and i won 603 over Pc with 599, great...

Phillipe from Atomic Fe has for the first time created a game for Colecovision.
I must take my hat off, it got really good start.

And as I've said before, so would a good Colecovision team be good programmers, graphic designers, box and manual designers, label design, and PCB designers.
They are all here at AtariAge.com, they just can't come together.
Many of them hold each of them on how strong they are on their own field and give themselves rarely to others' input.
A great brand could be: "
Coleco Remakers & Coders Team"
I could easily find at least 10 people, but they are very little friendly towards each other.

My new forum cvforum.dk is now a reality.
It lacks a little refinement, but i hope it comes.
PHP is as I said, totally new to me.
MS FrontPage is, since it was launced years ago, the only web program i worked with until now.
However, the Forum has not yet "discovered".
I still have to promote it around on the Web.
But since Albert from AtariAge has invested aggressively in the marketing keeping Colecovision via AtariAge, chances are not great.
He even took the name colecoage.com
I wait a little and give it a chance, otherwise I will close the CVForum site again.

CollectorVision have plans about a new site together with chuys450.
It is just an extra site for all what CollectorVision have collected since 1996 and up today.
CollectorVision have a lot of stuff related to ColecoVision and ADAM, we probably never have seen before.
But in the time of writing this, the site has not yet emerged.

Back to ColecoVision 2 or CV2.
Eduardo & Co. should not just think plastic for the new ColecoVision 2 case, instead they should take a look in the way of Aluminium.
It's high exclusive, you can have it like you want it. Look at this film from: SAPA A/S.
But for the new
Super Game Module is it okay to use plastic, that is a kind of an add on thing.

I have bought a new flat LCD Tv. for my living room, a Philips 42 PFL 8404/12H with Full HD 1080 x 1920, for my normal digital tv watching and Media PC.

Another 19" for my main PC in another room, a 16:10 with a max resolution of 1440 x 900.

But for the 16:10, I have a way undone, because I really should rather go for 16:9.
For example, a round circle in 16:9 not exactly shown in a 16:10 format, and vice versa.
So my site colecovision.dk is changed to 16:10 with a resolution on 1280 x 800.

ColecovisionZone.com with Junior in front, has also updated his site with a help from Daniel (newcoleco).
They have simply scanned a lot of internal Coleco documents into the site for free download. Thank you for that, and what a big surprise.  :)

That's all for this time, have a continuous nice day !.
