November. 19. 2008.
Hi Again. This is my 8th blog.
"Welcome to the team" said in
an e-mail I received in September 14th 2008.
I was one of the selected from among a few others who would receive an EPROM of
the game Pac-Man Collection
from opcode Games in the U.S.
I could not believe it, me as
a beta tester !, -a game from U.S.
OpCode want two Beta testers who have an PAL machine.
But it was good enough, OpCode Games was serious.
Then in October I received the game to be tested.
So I have not played so much Pac-Man since the good old arcade in the 80's,
-well i've played a little on MAME.
PMC had some problems which I
reported back.
They were immediately addressed.
OpCode send me a month after in november 2008 a newer updated EPROM, and this one was final.
OpCode Games will sell their Namco/Midway game up to the christmas sale 2008.
And as i said before these games are professionals all the way out, do doubt about that.
My former CV had some problems with
boot games up, I noticed it particularly with the game Space Invaders Collection, Mr. Chin
and some others.
And finally, there were only black screen when I power up.
Pixelboy made me aware of
that Mimo (now Preppie) had a PAL CBS ColecoVision for sale, and sent me an e-mail.
I bought it immediately, but was nevertheless a little nervous about it now
would be when it arrived.
Because 1st. it was for the French market, and 2nd. it was with RGB Output, and
without any tuner.
But there were no problems at all, I put the power plug in and also plug into
the multi-RGB, and it works fine.
OpCode had a new plan for an
Opgrade Module for ColevoVision.
It will add ColecoVision better graphics, a new bios, a better sound and the
ability to update.
It will again say that can do even make better games for our beloved
ColeocVision.
Luc still working on his 2
games, so I think they are finding the market in 2009.
Collectorvision asked me for some time ago for little room for a homepage on
colecovision.dk.
I said yes, and it has been well developed, so there will be a lot of games
for sale then in the next few years to come.
Take a look inside of these sites, they are great, and look for yourself for
what's upcoming in the future for our CV.
I was a little curious to know whether there was a possibility of producing a
Test Cart with the convergence test and vector, colors, circles and more.
But I was proposed to create one for myself.
I have no sense of the world to code anything to ColecoVision, but mockups, i am
as good.
After some searcing online did i find a couple of test ROMs from Nuvatec, if the
2-3 ROMs were put together in a cart would it be very advanced.
A new colecoVision site has
seen a day of light, -a guy from Holland has made colecovisionzone.com.
I have followed the process up until November where it is now online, very fine
site.
Retroillucid will gather all
the manuals available to all released games available for ColecoVision,
it is intended that they should be available at Digital-Press homepage in the
near future.
I had a plan to scan all of my own manuals in, for those games as I have on my
own site.
It is so far only been to one man, namely Carnival.
I would like to make a
powerful ColecoAge forum on my site, but where I hosted my site, supports my
package not MySQL / PhP.
It will say that I should move a step up, and it will be pretty expensive for me.
I will make a forum for myself in one way or another in the near future, perhaps
in 2010.
But only if Luc not have found a solution by then, perhaps through AtariAge.
That's all for this time, have a continuous nice day !.
Ole Nielsen.
Denmark.
